The mission of the library media center is to assist our students in becoming lifelong learners by instilling a love of reading through education, collaboration and innovation. We are a resource for information and provide access to informational, educational, and cultural materials in a variety of formats and technologies. 

Saraland Elementary School Media Center strives to provide instruction that supports the curricula and educational goals of our school. The main focus of the program is to help increase student reading levels while developing users who are skilled in information access. Instruction will be designed to teach literacy and information skills that meet the needs of students in today’s society.  Accelerated Reader drives a big part of our reading program and provides goals and incentives for all students.

It is our hope that the media center is a favorite place for our students! In these uncertain times, one thing that is always guaranteed is a great book! Books do it all! Entertain, teach, take students to far away lands and much more!
