Education 

I graduated from Satsuma High School. I attended Faulkner Community College and finished my degree at the University of South Alabama. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Since college, I've had the opportunity to participate in many workshops and classes. One of the most rewarding and beneficial training sessions I have participated in is AMSTI. I love teaching all subjects and making the lessons a fun hands-on experience.  AMSTI incorporates both fun and hands-on work with math and science.

Experience

This is my twentieth year of having the blessing to teach!! I taught third grade for two years and kindergarten for fifteen years. This will be my third year in first grade. I am so excited to see what this year has in store!

Bio

I love teaching!! I love to see the growth of my students each year. I truly believe this is what I was called to do. I am married to Jeremiah Prater. We have two beautiful children. Lainey is going to be a senior this year at Saraland High School. Braxton is working on a degree as an electrician.  I enjoy teaching, and I do my best to treat the children like I would want my own children to be treated. I look forward to making this brand new school year a success!!! GO SPARTANS!
