Mrs. Alicia Morrison
I am a resident of Saraland. This is my twentieth year teaching and my eleventh year at Saraland Elementary. I am so very excited to be here and anxious to teach your children.
I have been married for 26 years. I have three wonderful boys: Drew (25), Blake (20), Wesley (15), a beatuful daughter in law, Morgan, and a dog named Duke. As of July 24, he and his wife are making Saraland there home after Drew serving in the Coast Guard the last 6 years traveling to Costa Rica, Haiti, New York, California, and Missouri. He received his Associates Degree in Engineering this past spring and will start his journey in the civilian world working at a Steel Mill.
Blake is a junior at the University of Alabama. He will be cheering and competing on the Alabama Cheer Team. He also spent this past summer working at camps for UCA, helping to be a role model and teaching other middle and high school cheerleaders. He loves baseball and loves people. He is a very outgoing young man and doesn't meet a stranger.
Wesley is an 9th grader at Saraland Middle School. He is in advanced classes and plays football for the Spartans. He also loves basketball and is the shiest of our bunch.
My daughter in law works for Banfield Pet Hospital in St. Louis, but will tranfer to Mobile in August. She absolutely adores animals. She has a heart of gold and is as beautiful on this inside as she is on the outside.
My family and I have been members of Destination Church for almost 8 years. We are a part of the Destination media team where we volunteer our services that ensure the message, lights, and sound run smoothly.
I am AMSTI trained (Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative) and love to teach using investigations and hands on experience. I feel it is my duty to teach your child, as well as their classmates, all I possibly can during this upcoming year. I look forward to watching them grow. Third grade is a year of becoming responsible, little citizens.
