Welcome!  My name is Melanie Granade, and I am a fourth grade teacher at Saraland. I am married to Jody, and we have been married for 25 years. We have a daughter, Lorren, and she is a senior at UAB persuing a nursing degree. We also have a son, Preston, and he is 14 years old. He attends Saraland High School. I am a resident of Saraland and have been in this area all of my life. 

EXPERIENCE

I taught a 3rd grade interim at John Will Elementary School at the end of the year in 2002.

At Saraland Elementary School, I have taught 1st grade in 2002-2003,  2nd grade in 2003-2004, 4th grade 2004-2018, 5th grade 2018-2019, and back to 4th for the 2019-present.

This is my 23rd year teaching.
