I graduated from Satsuma High School in 1990. I began my college career playing softball at Faulkner State Community College, then Bishop State Community College. I graduated from the Licensed Practical Nurse Program at Bishop State Community College in 1993. I worked in Internal Medicine for 17 years and school nursing for the past 14 years.
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Kenny, since 1994. We have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with family, watching sports, pool days, and going to the beach. I love watching my son play high school sports, my grandson play t-ball, and Atlanta Braves baseball!
I am honored to work in the area of school nursing. As students visit the first aid room, I am able to assess, identify, and refer students to receive appropriate medical care. Students will put their trust in me when seeking advice about medical issues and I enjoy working with their parents as well. I do believe that healthy students are ready and eager to learn.
