Thank you for visiting my page. I love SHS and love being a Spartan.
2020-2021 will be my 30th year as an educator and football coach and my 5th year at Saraland High School. 12 of those were spent as an assistant at the college level while the rest were as a high school head or assistant coach.
Prior to coming to Saraland, I was in Baldwin County Schools for 3 years. In 2015 I was the Offensive line coach and Run-game coordinator at Baldwin County High School. In 2013 & 2014 I taught and was the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at Spanish Fort High School.
From 2008 to 2012 I was the Head Coach / Athletic Director at Gardendale High School in Gardendale, Al. Our teams had a record of 27-25, they qualified for the 6-A playoffs in 2010 and 2012. Following the 2010 season, I was a coach in the Alabama /Mississippi All-Star Game.
I graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and from Northeastern Oklahoma State University with a Masters of Science in College Teaching in 1999. I was a 3-year starter on the offensive line at TU and following graduation I spent 5 years coaching high school football in Oklahoma before spending the next 12 years coaching college football at Northeastern Oklahoma State University, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Missouri Southern State University, Midwestern State University (TX), and Mississippi College.
I have been married to the former Rena Prentice for 22 years and we have 3 daughters: Abby (19) a Sophomore at Southern Miss, Laynie (15) a Sophmore at SHS, and Ava (10).
