Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Lyndsey Spradlin
I graduated from Mobile County Public School System in May of 1996. I then pursued my undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Education at the University of South Alabama, and graduated in May of 2001. In the summer of 2003, I received my Master's degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from South Alabama.
I began my career in 2001 at Murphy High School in Mobile, Alabama. I spent 12 years there and learned as much about myself & being a teacher as I taught the students about mathematics.
In 2012, I was called to begin a new chapter in my life as a teacher at Saraland High School. I quickly fell in love with the administration, my coworkers, the community and my students. I love being a Saraland Spartan.
I am excited to be back at Saraland High School. This is my seventh year here and my 19th year of teaching. This year I teach Algebraic Connections and Geometry. I am a Mu Alpha Theta Sponsor, a Scholar's Bowl Advisor & a sophomore class sponsor. Teaching is not just a job for me - it is truly my passion.
In my spare time, I love dancing, drawing, and painting. My husband and I have been married for 15 years and have 3 children. We love going on road trips and experiencing the culture of different places. I have three dogs. One is a Shih Tzu, Hypatia, named after a favorite mathematician. The other two are Bull Terriers - Chris Farley and Vega.
If I had to choose a career other than education (I wouldn't), I would be a cryptologist with the CIA.
