WELCOME TO THE BUSINESS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

It is a pleasure to have your child in my class. Our program will give the student an introduction to the world of business. Students are given an opportunity to earn a Career Readiness Indicator, Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS). Students that earn the Expert's level will be recognized with a cord to be worn at Graduation Ceremony and other programs. A class fee of $25 allows students an opportunity to use lab equipment including printing, laminating, binding, and also GMetrix software to prepare for the certification tests, and unlimited certification testing at no additional charge.

STUDENTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN TWO SENIOR GRADUATION CORDS

1. Microsoft Office Specialist - Mint $10 charge (Word 2019, PowerPoint 2019, & Excel 2019)

2. Microsoft Office Expert - Lavender (no charge) Word & Word Expert, Excel & Excel Expert, and PowerPoint

ALL ABOUT ME

Mrs. Crane has been married for 36 years to Alex G. Crane, principal of Saraland Middle School. They have three children, Andrew (BS Statistic & Mathematical, University of South Alabama), Addie (Bachelor of Science in Education (Collaborative Special Education K-12) Master of Arts in Education (Higher Education Administration) The University Alabama) Addie is currently working full-time for The University of Alabama System Office for the Office of the Chancellor & Office of Governmental Affairs and Economic/Workforce Development and our youngest daughter, Alexis Crane (BSN-Capstone College of Nursing, The University of Alabama) worked in the Emergency Department as a BSN at Children's Hospital in Birmingham and presently is a travel nurse working across the nation. She also has two beautiful grandchildren, Paxton & Caroline!

Mrs. Crane is an avid sports fan. She can usually be found "running the streets" to the football stadium or baseball field and headed north to Tuscaloosa as much as she can. She also enjoys high school football games on Thursday or Friday nights, her student's athletic events all week and on weekends at College Games on Saturday afternoon or night! (Roll Tide!!)
