Dr. Kristi C. Howze

Kristi C. Howze has been a performing arts educator and classroom teacher for thirty years. Dr. Howze has taught at E.R. Dickson Elementary School, Murphy High School, UMS-Wright Preparatory School, and Satsuma High School. During her time in education, she has taught choir, general music, theater, ACT prep, Career Prep, 3rd-grade science and social studies, 4th-grade self-contained, and 5th-grade science.

Dr. Howze's roots run deep in the North Mobile area, where she graduated from Satsuma High School. She is married to her husband Rick, a proud Satsuma graduate. They have two adult children, Patrick and Mary Elizabeth, and a cat named Olga. Patrick is pursuing a degree in medicine at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, while Mary Elizabeth is sharing her love for music as a teacher in Oklahoma. Olga spends most of her days taking long naps and demanding treats from her owners. She enjoys Broadway theatre, doing various crafts, and watching movies in her free time. Dr. Howze is excited to embark on a new chapter in her educational journey as the choral director at Saraland High School.
