Ms. Madilyn Robertson
Introduction
Hi! My name is Madi Robertson, and I am overjoyed to begin my first year teaching in "The Land". I am a native of Saraland's neighboring city, Sastuma. I have grown up in this area, and I am so thankful to begin my career in the community I call home! I served in an interim position this past fall of the 2023-2024 school year at the Early Education Center, where I was able to see first-hand how wonderful the Saraland City School system truly is! I feel honored to have a place on the second grade team here at SES!
On a more personal note, I love to read, visit the beach, spend quality time with friends and family, and engage in all things active! I have a ten-year-old sister who keeps me on my toes (but is also my best friend). We have two wonderful parents-Steve and Kelli Robertson. On the weekends, I can usually be found at the ball field watching my sister's softball games, or at Crumbl enjoying cookies with friends!
Education
I graduated in May of 2024 from the University of Mobile with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. While attending Mobile, I played for the University's softball team, and I was the recipient of the Most Outstanding Graduate Majoring in Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree, and I am eager to continue my learning journey as an educator!
Classroom Expectations
My hope and prayer for my classroom is that I will be able to create an environment that fosters a love for learning, cultivates a safe space for critical thinking, and that encourages empathy and kindness to shine within both myself and my students. I am filled with anticipation and joy at the start of this new beginning. Go Spartans!
