Physics is simply an attempt to understand how the universe behaves. My passion as an educator is to lead students on a journey to study and understand the inner workings of our universe and the laws that govern its behavior. Physics is so much more than a set of complicated equations, and I believe that every student can learn physics and apply it to their everyday experiences. From the rotation of a tornado to the creation of stars, physics holds the key.
I left my job as an operational meteorologist to begin a career in education in 2006. Meteorology was my first passion, but after a leap of faith, I found my true calling in the classroom. My approach to science is an emphasis on hands-on learning and inquiry-based discovery. Students are encouraged to talk about science, ask any questions, and become excited about learning. I set high expectations, and will help every student to achieve them.
