Peer Helpers is a program which is designed on the school-based mental health model. The program works not only through a group of students but also through all educators to build a positive school climate and culture. Peer Helpers is a multi-tiered prevention and support program comprised of 3 components. We know that our students’ safety and mental health have a direct impact on their development and success. We are pleased to share this comprehensive approach to meeting our students' needs. At SEEC, the first component is P.A.T.H. (Prevention & Awareness for Total Health). The school counselor provides prevention curriculum to all K-1st. The lessons address the social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that impact students during this critical phase of their development.
