Mr. Brent Harrison

My name is Brent Harrison, and I am entering into my fourth year as principal of Saraland High School.  Prior to coming to Saraland, I served as the principal of Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Alabama, for three years (2017-2020).  Before becoming the principal of Enterprise High School, I served as an assistant principal for five years (2011-2017) and taught social studies for six years (2005-2011), while also coaching several sports.  During the 2015-2016 school year, I served as principal at Charles Henderson High School in Troy, Alabama.  In 2004, I accepted my very first teaching position at Duluth High School, in Duluth, Georgia, where I taught social studies and coached football and basketball at the varsity level.

I graduated from Troy State University in 2001 with a B.S. in Marketing.  Within a year of graduating, I changed professions and soon enrolled at the University of Montevallo to pursue a master's degree in education (2004).  In 2011, I received my Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Troy University, and I am currently enrolled in a doctoral program (Educational Leadership) at the University of South Alabama.

My wife, Kelly, and I have been married for twelve years.  Kelly is a BSN within the Saraland City School System.  We have two boys, Boone (12) and Trosper (8).
