Saraland City School System offers the following Career Technical Education (CTE) Programs for all students regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, or disability: Business Information Technology, Engineering, Hospitality and Tourism, Health Science, Teaching and Training, and Welding.
Microsoft Office Specialist, Python Programming, ServSafe, Welding, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) are examples of credentials offered to Saraland High School students. These credentials prepare students for business/industry. Specific program courses are offered to ensure students are prepared to attain the credentials.
The CTE director, teachers, and counselors strive to develop positive working relationships with business and industry within the Saraland community. They meet with business and industry leaders two or more times per year to discuss avenues for improving instruction within the programs. During these meetings, representatives from local businesses discuss key employee qualifications needed for the workplace.
